Sensory Motor & Gross Motor
Children with sensory motor delays often display difficulty engaging in activities that involve the larger muscles. They may display clumsiness, decreased balance, and poor strength. This can impact them in functional mobility activities like managing stairs and running as well as impact their ability to keep up with their peers on the playground. There are often underlying vestibular processing issues present, that need to be assessed, in order to provide effective treatment for these delays.
